Rosie James : Drawing with Stitch in Brosgrove

Our first guest tutor for 2020!
Rosie James Textile Artist will be sharing with us her unique free machine stitching style.
Spend two days creating samples and experimenting with the following techniques:
Using black thread on white cotton
Exploring different lines of stitch
How to transfer an image onto fabric using tissue paper
Ways of adding colour
Working onto transparent fabrics and layering methods
Stitching onto paper, maps, book pages
On day two you will have the opportunity to work on a larger piece putting these techniques into practice
This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience, you can work at your own pace.
