Summer Family Fun at Avoncroft Museum
We are celebrating three themes throughout the six weeks holidays:
The Great Outdoors
Week One - Monday 22nd - Friday 26th July & Week Four - Monday 12th - Friday 16th August:
We will be utilising our 19 acre setting and exploring the great outdoors!
Come and join in activities including, but not limited to:
• Bug hunts
• Animal trails
• Forest school
• Tree identification
• Make your own woodland critter
• Pond dipping
Bygone Buildings
Week Two - Monday 29th July - Friday 2nd August & Week Five - Monday 19th - Friday 23rd August:
Come and celebrate our range of historical buildings by joining in fun activities including:
• Lego construction
• Brickmaking
• Building in Art competition
• Build a Tudor House
• construction trails
Historical Hygiene
Week Three - Monday 5th - Friday 9th August & Week Six - Monday 26th - Friday 30th August
We'll be taking a step back in time and investigating how people lived (and smelled!) hundreds of years ago!
Come and join in :
• Soap making in our Tudor Town House
• Victorian washing displays
• Privies of the past trails
• Making nosegays
• The differences between rich and poor hygiene in bygone times
As well as all this, there will also be regular train rides on the miniature railway (Tues-Thurs) and pony rides* (on selected days and times).
*Some activities may incur a small additional cost.
