Bread Tasting Ceremony at Avoncroft Museam

Members of Bromsgrove Court Leet will gather at Avoncroft Museum to carry out a reinactment of a traditional Bread Tasting Ceremony.

In Medieval times the Jury of the Court Leet ensured the products of the town and district were fit for consumption by the local people - similar to the trading standards officers of today.

The Court is delighted to have been invited by the millers at Avoncroft's wonderful and iconic windmill to carry out this traditional event at the Toll House in the grounds of the Museum.
